and we're back...
so at long last the single is out. huge thanks to diy for seeing fit to feature our no-hope asses in the neu section of their site. looks like we've still got it. feeling sassy right now. the video took forever to edit, there's something like 1600 stills in the mo-cap sequence (pro terminology, all present and correct and shit, yeah). budget was £1.29, cost of a bottle of diet coke which i took out to parkland walk with me when i shot it. loads of strange looks from people as

the lights are back on
sorry about the radio silence. we couldn't afford to pay the website bills, but we're all settled up now and the lights have been switched back on. the album is finished, mixed, mastered and getting pressed as we speak. it took longer than we anticipated as i am a pain in the arse to work with and kept asking for things to be changed at the last minute just when we thought we had it nailed. as such, we're extremely proud of it. whilst not being able to make a living from musi

recording is done
the album is all recorded. twelve tracks of folk-grunge-post-sax-kraut-metal to be slimmed down to ten. we finished songs about train sets and massive dogs, weddings and bath tubs, and good old crow will make another appearance or two. there's still a spot of tidying up to do, then it's over to the mixing. so when will it be ready to hear? well, we'll look to do a run of shows in the autumn with some new tracks to be released around that time, but the album will most likely b
rk album II session II done
album II session II completed. we’re about seventy percent there with the recordings. the rest will be done in snatched days here and there over the next couple of months. then just mix it, master it, promote it, book some shows, shoot some vids, plug some radios, do some arts works, release the thing and watch the world gasp at what we’ve created. could be a good gasp, could be a bad one. not sure yet. the working title for the album can’t be repeated in public spheres as it

this song is primarily influenced by this chap. i had a book of his called space warriors when i was a kid. i think part chimp used one of his images for an album cover, so they kind of got there first in the obscure artist cultural reference stakes. not that anyone's keeping score or anything, or that they're cooler than we are or anything, or anything, or anything. they are way cooler. #redkite #albumII #pointoflight #spacerock #stewartcowley

different but the same
so this is like the new website and shit. hope you like it. i’m not actually going to be promoting it or going live with it until the new year when we start getting up to stuff, so chances are i’m writing this to no-one. if you’ve stumbled across it already then congratulations, you are an early adopter. the old blogspot site is going to stay where it is as an archive. if you’ve never seen it before then feel free to take a look, it’s got some interesting little bits and piec
